Celebrating BKF Engineers, our August Sponsor of the Month

This month, we’re delighted to highlight our sponsor, BKF Engineers.
For more than 106 years, BKF Engineers has served California, developing and rehabilitating public infrastructure including utility systems, streets, educational and healthcare facilities. They remain a privately held, locally-owned firm with a staff of over 450 engineers, surveyors, and planners. BKF serves the West Coast from 16 offices located in Redwood City, San Francisco, Walnut Creek, Oakland, Pleasanton, Richmond, Sacramento, San Jose, San Rafael, Santa Rosa, Lathrop, Salinas, Newport Beach, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, and Portland. BKF provides complete civil and survey services including teams that specialize in transportation, water resources, 3D Scanning, and municipal engineering.
BKF has always been committed to investing in our communities through volunteerism and contributions to local organizations and events. They encourage their staff to participate in these activities to get to know fellow co-workers outside the confines of the office, and more importantly, to do their part to improve the places where we all live, work, and play.
BKF sponsored 2021 Sequoia Award recipient Bianca Vail from Sequoia High School. Like BKF, Bianca is dedicated to improving the community and is attending San Jose State to pursue her dream in law. She hopes to become an immigration attorney to help her community. Bianca says, once she becomes an immigration attorney, “I will give back to the community that I once volunteered for. Volunteering for Project Read I helped students that were in elementary school, and I wished that I had that help while growing up.”
The Sequoia Awards is honored to be among the organizations BKF Engineers supports and appreciate their ongoing sponsorship.
